01 Building Confidence and Professional Identity
Recognise the value of your overseas trade experience, set clear Australian career goals, and build the confidence to present yourself to local employers. ~45 min
02 Australian Workplace Culture and Expectations
Understand how Australian sites communicate, the Work Health and Safety obligations everyone shares, how diverse teams work together, and exactly what employers expect day to day. ~55 min
03 Licensing and Trade-Registration Awareness
Build awareness of how trade licensing and skills recognition work in Australia, why they are state-based, and how your licensing status affects the roles you can take. Information only — no RPL or TRA processing. ~40 min
04 Digital Communication Skills
Get comfortable with the everyday digital tools Australian workplaces use — email, messaging, timesheets and digital forms — and learn to communicate professionally and safely online. ~40 min
05 Job-Readiness Tools — Résumé and Interview Preparation
Build an Australian-format trade résumé, write a simple cover letter or expression of interest, and prepare for interviews using the STAR method — ready for your mock employer interview in Block 2. ~60 min
This module builds awareness of Australian workplace and licensing requirements. It does not process visa skills assessments, RPL or Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) applications. Always confirm current requirements with the relevant state regulator.

Build awareness of the Australian Standards (AS/NZS), codes of practice, regulatory bodies and environmental obligations that shape how your trade is performed — and what employers expect you to know. ~50 min
02 Australian Employment Landscape & Workplace Rights
Understand the kinds of employers and projects you’ll meet in Australia, and know your rights under the Fair Work Act 2009 — wages, entitlements, penalty rates, enterprise agreements and labour hire. ~55 min
03 Employer Expectations & Industry Insights
Hear what Australian employers actually look for, understand how trade careers progress from apprentice to supervisor and beyond, and learn which industry associations and unions support your trade. ~45 min
04 Workplace Communication & WHS Induction Skills
Rehearse the WHS induction and toolbox-talk routines you’ll do on real sites, practise handling everyday workplace situations, and sharpen the clear, confident communication Australian employers expect. ~55 min
05 Interview Practice & Employer-Network Preparation
Bring it all together: complete a full mock employer interview, review and strengthen your performance, learn how TPA’s employer introductions work, and build your personalised post-program employment plan. ~60 min
All learning is delivered online and self-directed, with no site visits, practical assessments or work placements required. This module builds awareness of Australian standards, rights and expectations — always confirm current requirements with the relevant regulator.
