Skills Assessment & English Requirements
Trade Pathways Australia supports candidates through the Trade Skills Assessment process, including assessment readiness, documentation support, and coordination with approved assessment partners.
Trade Skills Assessments are conducted by approved external assessing authorities, including Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) where applicable. Trade Pathways Australia is not the assessing authority and does not determine assessment outcomes.
Candidates must meet the English language requirements relevant to their occupation, visa pathway, and employer expectations, where required.
Assessment fees charged by external assessing authorities (including TRA) are payable separately. Trade Pathways Australia service fees may apply.
English Language Requirements
Depending on the occupation, visa pathway, and employer requirements, candidates may be required to demonstrate English language proficiency.
Examples of commonly accepted English language tests include:
IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English)
OET (Occupational English Test – where applicable)
Required test types, minimum scores, and validity periods vary depending on the relevant assessing authority, employer, and visa framework.
Trade Pathways Australia does not provide English testing services, does not advise on required scores, and does not assist with English test applications.
All English language requirements are determined by employers, assessing bodies, and government authorities
